Haley’s waterfall senior pictures began a long time before the day of her photography session. Years ago, I photographed Haley as a young girl with her mom, Brenda, and little dog. So, I was thrilled when Haley, as a junior in high school, joined my model program! It was great not only meeting her again as a young woman, but also having the chance to get to know her better during the model shoot. As a gift to our models, we offer a family photography session. It is always a treat to photograph our models with their families! In Haley’s case, it was especially meaningful to recreate the photograph taken many years before with her mom. We loved spending time with Haley and her parents (and her little dogs too :).
When the time finally arrived for Haley’s senior portraits, we were so excited! She wanted something dramatic with a waterfall, and we knew just the location to make that happen for her. She also chose to do a twilight session. What a wonderful evening it turned out to be with Haley and her mom!! We started her session in the studio. She had a great idea to do a few sports images and we added some traditional images that showcased her classic beauty. Then, we jumped in our cars and headed out of town to an isolated old homestead. It was such fun just hiking around watching for lovely spots to photograph in. (Luckily, we only had to dodge 2 snakes and both were harmless!) When the time came to capture Haley’s waterfall senior pictures, we placed her on the bank of the creek with the cascading water behind her. Thank you very much Haley and Brenda! It has been such a pleasure getting to know you both. We so enjoyed your company and we loved the pictures that came out of that evening’s senior picture adventure!
