It was lovely meeting Hope and her family! They moved here recently and we had great time visiting about how the Ellensburg area compared with Georgia. It can be easy to take your home for granted. Seeing it through someone else’s perspective can give you a renewed appreciation. Certainly, one of the things that we enjoy about where we live is how many wonderful locations there are in which to photograph! The natural beauty of the surrounding parks and wilderness areas are hard to beat. Those contrast nicely with the charm of Ellensburg’s old town. The locations can lend themselves to traditional senior portraits or edgy, urban images.

Hope opted for more traditional senior portraits. We began her session in the studio where we could play with back lighting on a dark background. We started with a few pictures of her with her little sister. They were adorable together! Then, it was off to the park to take advantage of the autumn colors. We really enjoyed listening to Hope talk about math. Watching her eyes light up at the subject made us smile. (We have a few math-minds in our family too!) Thank you to Hope, Dara, and Bella. It was such a pleasure spending time them!
