Each year I get new backgrounds and props to photograph on for my studio sessions. This year I acquired an old fashioned red velvet sofa from an estate sale that I just love! I thought this would be the perfect piece to haul out into meadows and on location for a fun, new look…. that is until we lifted it to haul it home. Wow, how can a sofa weigh so much! So by the time my hubby and I crammed it into the back of the suburban and then carried it up my flight and a half of stair and maneuvered it thought the door…I knew it would never leave the studio again! So if I wanted to use my red velvet sofa for a model shoot, the models had to come to it. I also purchased red and white chandeliers that look amazing with the sofa. So the set was created and now for the models. I wanted something simple yet playful so I pulled some fun prom dresses from Maurices and went with soft curly hair. We had three models for this shoot: Tiffany, Madeline and Kimberly. Thank you girls for making this a really fun and successful session.
