I titled this photo shoot “Flower Power”. I wanted to do a shoot where the background was clean and simple and the models colorful and striking. After pouring over fashion magazines and all the new bold flower patterns emerging, I knew what I wanted to try. It was a little early in the season to find a lot of flower prints but Fred Myers in Ellensburg had enough that I could put together several fun outfits. I knew I needed lots of fake flowers so my stylist, Kelly and I spent a day hitting all the second hand stores and came home with lots of treasures. We even found the perfect mail box at Habitat for Humanity and Kelly worked her magic with a can of spray paint to give it a flashy new coat. I wanted big hair and dramatic makeup and Galyn’s Salon delivered! I needed the models to really project in order to pull off the boldness of the shoot and they all did an amazing job. Over all it was an amazing success. I’m very please… it lived up to my expectations and vision of the final product. Thank you to everyone involved especially my beautiful models!
